Health and Safety
Health and Safety is fundamental to everything we do at Diverse. We are an accredited SMAS Worksafe Contractor which ensures we keep up to date with and maintain the highest standards.
Our experienced senior management team hold CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme qualifications such as SSSTS and SMSTS, and make frequent site visits to all of our projects to check and record safety and quality protocols.
Every project undertaken will have a Method Statement and Risk Assessment produced specific to the task at hand, which each team member signs and adhere to. We also hold regular toolbox talks on our projects, meaning all of our workforce are kept updated on both project-specific and industry-wide safety standards.
All of our teams contain a working supervisor holding the Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) qualification, and all of our operatives maintain updated Asbestos Awareness Training alongside the relevant Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
Due the nature of our works, we also have Face Fit Testing qualified personnel, as well as other applicable awareness training such as Abrasive Wheels, so you will always find the appropriately trained team member taking responsibility for specific roles and work.
Quality
We take nothing for granted and cement our strong reputation with every new project, accepting only the very highest quality standards before handover. As a company we are motivated by realising our clients’ expectations, which means a perfectionist attitude. The below methods outline some of the ways we monitor, maintain and test our works.
- Adhere to NBS specifications.
- QITP (Quality Inspection Test Plan) – checklists for our installation teams to follow and sign off at each work stage created specifically to every project.
- Experienced workforce – our highly experienced installers ensure competent, knowledgeable personnel.
- Regular operative training - maintains knowledge of all the latest manufacturer products and materials.
- High quality materials – we only use tried and tested industry leading products that comply to testing and packaging procedure regulations, and undergo all necessary training and certification for their use.
- Regular site visits - from all levels of our management team.
- Testing – upon completion of the curing process, we provide full testing of our installations to ensure we are compliant with industry regulations e.g. BRE Drop Hammer Testing.
BRE Drop Hammer Testing
To sign off our screeds, we are able to undertake BRE Drop Hammer Testing to provide evidence that the work we have installed is sound and in accordance with BS8204 standards. We will then provide a written report with photographs as part of our quality commitment to the project.
Environmental
We take the environmental impact of our works very seriously. This starts from the top, ensuring our management teams carefully measure and pre-plan the works so that only the required quantities of materials are sent to site. This limits our levels of wastage and also reduces the number of vehicle movements undertaken.
On site, we ensure our workforce understand the importance of separating waste correctly and recycle our generated waste where possible.
We also try to source materials to our projects from local suppliers to reduce our carbon footprint, and encourage suppliers themselves to do their bit for the environment in terms of responsible sourcing.
